Frank is rated as one of the top signwriters and mural artists in Scotland. Trusted by numerous big brands to work on their behalf throughout the UK, he’s reliable as well as talented – that makes him a bit of a rare breed.
He started young – first learning from his father, Peter Carty who worked in traditional signwriting. As a teen he travelled throughout Europe ‘living off the craft’, from working as a street artist drawing chalk pictures on the Champs Elysee and Barcelona’s La Rambla, to painting murals in Majorca.
Since then Frank has worked steadily, gathering knowledge in fine craftsmanship and studying art and design. He also spent valuable time working as a painter and decorator, where he learned about different paint and materials, as well as in the construction industry.
Setting up his own business was the natural course of events for Frank. Artisan Artworks’ success is undoubtedly built on his talent. But it’s also down to his sheer determination to be the best in his field and do an outstanding job for every one of his customers. He’s as original as his work itself.
